I grow up in Japanese family and my great grandma was living in next door. We often ate Japanese breakfast together. the Japanese breakfast she was eating is a lot different from what we enjoy in Japan nowadays.
It's based on fish, seaweed and vegetables. as you can imagine, it's way healthier than modernized Japanese breakfast on 2021!

Why Kaya Toast Is Singapore’s Favorite Breakfast and Where It Came From
A smear of velvety coconut jam, and generous slab of cold butter between two slices of crispy, toasted bread — that’s how many Singaporeans and Malaysians love to start their day or take a tea break. How did kaya toast, with its European roots, become a beloved mainstay in Southeast Asia?

Gourmet SOUTHEAST ASIAN BREAKFAST in Makati | Southeast Asian Food in Manila Philippines
Makati City is located in the south of Manila. I grew up in the north which is in Bulacan province and eventually moved to Marikina City. Technically, Marikina is about 30-40 mins away to Makati but Manila traffic would make it 1-2 hours. So i always make sure to dine at my favorite restaurants or try something new whenever i get to visit the area. Today, we are in Legaspi Village, one of the hip neighborhood and famous foodie spots for both locals and foreigners. Your local is my go to restaurant for my favorite dish called, "Torched Salmon Donburi". If I would create a list of 100 Best dishes in Manila, it would be included there. But I went back here for their all new South East Asian Breakfast Menu. Asian food is very diverse, but there is always something in common from the use of ing...

Toast Box in Singapore if definitely one of my favorite chain cafes! It's such a nice design and the food is what you hope and expect, especially the laksa. This particular location is on Scotts Road and has one of the coldest A/C and pretty chill. I would recommend this location to relax.

Episode 4 of the Burma Border Run!
I am travelling the entire length of the Thai Burmese border and today we are in Thoed Thai, a town build up by a drug lord, which is now one of the most ethnically diverse towns in Thailand. Chinese or Shan are often more spoken on the streets than standard Thai. Muslims, Christians and Buddhists all call it home. So let's go and explore this very far flung but very friendly part of Thailand.

What is the healthiest country? — Japan.

• Okinawa has the highest number of centenarians in the world. A centenarian is someone who lived to be at least 100 years old.
• Japan has the lowest number of age-related diseases.
• The obesity rates in Japan are one of the lowest in the world.
• Japan has a law that forces people to focus on their waist size. Waist size is a direct reflection of the amount of insulin in the body.
The Japanese diet typically includes:
• Fish (raw sushi/seaweed)
• Shellfish
• Veggies (sea vegetables, pickled vegetables, fermented vegetables)
• Rice/Noodles
• Green tea
• Fruit
• Natto
Also, one of the reasons Japan is one of the healthiest countries is because they do a lot of walking.

Asian food is very diverse, but there is always something in common from the use of ingredients to flavors and textures. It just hits the spot instantly. I was able to try the following:
- Coconut Gula Melaka Pancakes - P380
- Glazed Pork Nasi Lemak - P450
- Beef Rendang Eggs Benedict - P480
- Smoked Salmon and Egg Sandwich - P690
- Feel Good Waffles - P380
- Salmon Otak Otak - 500
Drinks
- Purple Coconut - P190
- Earl Grey Pandan Tea - P215
